What is a Planning & Concierge Fee?

The Planning & Concierge Fee compensates for the time, expertise, and personalized service that goes into designing your trip. It allows us to deliver thoughtful research, detailed itineraries, and ongoing support tailored to your needs.

How are your fees structured?

Our Planning & Concierge fees vary based on the type of trip and complexity:​

• Cruise vacations: starts at $50 per person

• Resort vacations: starts at $75 per person

• Yacht charters: starts at $150 per person

• Custom multi-destination itineraries: starts at $150 per person

We’ll confirm your exact fee during your complimentary consultation.

What is included in the Planning & Concierge Fee?

Fees cover destination or cruise comparisons, airfare and transport coordination, activity and dining research, custom itineraries, and ongoing support leading up to and during your vacation.

Do we still pay the same price if we book through Knot on the Clock?

Yes. Cruise lines, resorts, and tour operators charge the same rates whether you book direct or through an agent. When you book with us, you get extra value, perks, expertise, and time saved all at no extra cost to you.

How do payments work?

We’ll collect the required deposits according to each supplier’s policy (cruise line, resort, etc.). You can make interim payments toward your balance until the final payment is due, depending on the trip.

What happens if I need to cancel or change my trip?

Each supplier (cruise line, resort, tour operator) has its own cancellation policy. We’ll walk you through it and help you understand refundability, travel protection options, and whether third-party insurance might benefit your situation.

Do you offer travel insurance?

We can help you understand travel insurance options, including what coverage makes sense for your trip. Most clients opt for third-party travel insurance (like Allianz) to protect against cancellations, interruptions, medical emergencies, and baggage loss.

How far in advance should we book our trip?

For the best pricing and availability:

• Cruises: 6–12+ months out for peak sailings

• Resorts (especially Caribbean or honeymoon): 6–9 months

• Europe or complex itineraries: 9–12+ months
  That said, we can help with planning even if your travel date is soon.

What if we have special requests or celebrations?

Whether it’s a honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, or family reunion, we include special occasion planning as part of our service. Just let us know what you are interested in — we love helping you create memorable moments!​

Yes! For trips booked through us, you’ll have pre-travel support and ongoing assistance during your vacation if needed (flight issues, reservations, questions, etc.).
